Car Camping in the Canadian Rockies
When you dream - your images in your head aren't always in "chronological order"! Neither are these photos. But it doesn't matter .... just enjoy them as they are :)
If you had 10 days to play in the Canadian Rockies what would you do? Firstly you would camp on the shores of Kootenay Lake and swim in the clear fresh water. You would make your way to the Provincial Park north of Kimberly and camp at Premier Lake. Then you would move into Chateau Payne for 3 nights, taking time to canoe the Columbia River to Radium Hot Springs. Moving on to the Lake Louise Region you would canoe on Moraine Lake and hike up to Larch Valley. The next day you would climb the Big Beehive at Lake Louise and enjoy a night out at the Lake Louise train station for dinner. The drive north to Jasper is unparalleld, stoping at Bow Lake, Peyto Lake and the Columbia Icefields. The Whistler Sky tram in Jasper offers a chance to easily climb Whistler Mountain with a view into Mt. RObson, the largest peak in the Canadian Rockies. 10 days to remember for a long time!
